For a very long time I have been using the Windows 7 skin Placebo developed by deviantART user SolMiler and needed a chat client that matched my desktop. A couple hours of work resulted in the following Trillian skin. I used the same layout found in the Mac skin skin developed by Trillian Wiki user Scream81. I changed the colors of fonts and many of the skin resource elements. Im still working on fixing some bugs and would still like make some changes to the skin elements. I'm hoping others will get some use out of it.

- Installation Instructions:
- Extract the skin folder from the zip archive.
- Place the skin folder within the skins program folder.
(Commonly C://Programs Files(x86)/Trillian/skins)
- Select the new skin from the settings menu within Trillian.
- Restart Trillian.

Change Log:
v1.3:
- Fixed the text color in the basic chat windows.
- Cleaned up the mark up language for message windows.
- Performed a minor cosmetic change.

v1.2:
- Changed preview.png within the Trillian skin.
- Removed pink font as notified by deviantART user ~spartanhooah.

v1.1:
- Added new preview art.
- Other minor changes..

I have a request! Would it be possible to create another style like this but based on the Cold Light variant of Placebo? :D

I probably could; I'm kind of all over the place with my side projects and as a result I've put my Trillian skinning on hold for a little while. The Cold Light variant isn't too different in style, however, so I think it's definitely a possibility.

Is there a way you can remove the big name boxes on top of the chat windows? I would actually prefer them smaller!:) Great skin though!

I won't be releasing any changes to the skin for a little while but if you are interested in changing it up, all you would have to do is make some edits to the XML files. I'm not exactly sure which one it would be off the top of my head but I can take a look later if you are interested? Also thanks for the support!

Hiya! I've been using the "Placebo Angst" theme for Windows 7 ever since I've gotten my beloved laptop!! :-) And I'm so lucky and grateful to have stumbled upon this Trillian theme (to be honest, I'd originally sought a "dark" theme for Skype... nothing... and then discovered Trillian just an hour ago!).

Very nice theme. I've just downloaded it without issues, installed it, and now it's looking and functioning great! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing this. :-)

No problem, I'm glad you like it! I believe that the Placebo Theme's are probably the best skins for Windows 7. When I installed them onto my laptop it really motivated me to develop something that would blend into my desktop and feel native. Windows applications should be more welcoming and not feel like an eye sore.

Love this skin! Do you know how to change the font of the time stamp and relative time stamp specifically? I tried to change the fontcontrols.xml and replaced every 'Lucida Sans Unicode' with 'Century Gothic' but it still didn't work. I even took out the 'Lucida Sans Unicode' out of the folder and put in the 'Century Gothic' one.

you can find the fontcontrols for time stamps of message window chatview in the messagecontrols.xml. Search for "display-console", there you will see font settings for abstime and reltime.
